A Light in the City of Learning

Om Shanti Yoga Niketan

Sweet savasana in our 9am morning class!

Welcome to Om Shanti Yoga Niketan, the best of Banaras Yoga! And congratulations for choosing yoga, whether it be for physical fitness, mental clarity, or a spiritual connection. Though scientists are proving today what yogis have been discovering for thousands of years, there is only one way to truly understand the power of yoga ~ experience.

Our teacher, Rajuji, brings great wisdom and lightness to this sacred practice.  So rest assured, you’re in good hands.

Where to Find Us

Our yoga space is a humble one, nestled amongst the winding alleys in the heart of old Banaras.  We are located a 2 minute walk from Kashi Vishwanath Temple (also called Golden Temple) at Meer Ghat. Finding the studio may turn into a bit of an adventure, so once you reach Kashi Vishwanath Temple, ask anyone for Raju’s yoga studio (or Raju Vajpayee’s yoga studio) at Meer Ghat.
